Diacom Networks have supported Buyagift with their communications platform for many years. This support was recently extended to their data network infrastructure.

The Summary

Moving offices can be a daunting task for any business. Especially for one with over 200 staff. This was the challenge Buyagift faced in early 2018.

Using the latest cloud-based technology we were able to minimize the level of disruption brought on by the move whilst improving their network and communications infrastructure greatly.

  • Buyagift were faced with the daunting task of moving office in early 2018.
  • Their main challenge was to minimize the impact the office move would have to calls made to their customer service number.
  • The aim was to move the telephony platform from ISDN to SIP, in the new office, and have the customer service team back up and running as quickly as possible.

The Solution

  • 3CX communication solution installed in to a Vmware infrastructure.
  • Migration from ISDN to SIP.
  • Cisco Meraki security gateway, active and passive failover.
  • Cisco Meraki wireless.
  • During the office move we diverted their telephone number to the newly installed 3CX system. This meant no calls made to their customer service department were lost.
  • The introduction of Cisco Meraki into their new office has provided their IT staff with greater ease of management and much higher visibility of their network performance.
  • Cisco Meraki wireless has helped their increasingly active workforce by allowing them to access critical business applications throughout the office and it’s various meeting rooms.
